Ramside Hall Hotel celebrate Christmas with a tree made entirely of wine bottles
Guests at the hotel’s restaurants have enjoyed plenty of wine over the year and 500 of their discarded bottles have gone into making the unusual eco-friendly tree, which is topped in style with a bottle of Dom Perignon Champagne.
Stood outside of the venue’s Rib Room restaurant, it’s become a real talking point among diners with plenty of them posing next to it for selfies.

“I came up with the idea of the tree a few years ago after seeing similar ones on Instagram,” she explained. “All the bottles are from wines that have been drank in our restaurants, and we asked people to pop them on the tree after they were finished. As you can imagine, it fills up very quickly.
“This tree, as well as the big one in our hall, is very popular. Everyone stands and has their photos taken with them.”
