With the Black Cats having already secured their place in the play-offs, the head coach will undoubtedly be considering some tactical and personnel changes ahead of the game.
Sunderland drew with Northampton Town earlier this season and will know their already-relegated visitors will be desperate to end their time in League One on a high note.
But with some fitness concerns to consider ahead of the fixture, there are a number of potential switches that could be made by the Black Cats as they look to build-up some momentum ahead of a potential play-off tilt.
So what team do the fans feel should start against Northampton?
Supporters have picked their team via some polls on our @sunechosafc Twitter page – and want to see FOUR changes...
1. GK: Lee Burge

2. RB: Conor McLaughlin

3. CB: Bailey Wright
61.4% of those polled feel that Wright should start again - and that may be necessary given Sunderland's defensive injury concerns at present. Photo: Stu Forster
4. CB: Oliver Younger
Younger has been a regular presence in and around the match day squads in recent months, so could he be set for a second senior start? 34.6% of supporters want to see the central defender given that opportunity. Photo: FRANK REID 2020
