Sunderland’s search for a new head coach remains unresolved but the transfer talk is already picking up ahead of what looks certain to be a huge summer window for the club.
Unsurprisingly, some of the best young players at the club are being linked with top-tier switches. Jack Clarke is said to have significant interest from Southampton amongst others, while Jobe Bellingham is a target for Crystal Palace and a host of other clubs. Sunderland have been clear that they are in no rush to sell any of their key assets, but it is already clear that this will be a testing window on that front. So what are the valuations of each player and what fee will they actually command if they are to leave? Here, we assess the valuation from football website transfermarkt.com of each player and put that into context to arrive at what is likely to be the club’s true valuation this summer

Our verdict: About right. Believed to be close to the fee Sunderland paid for him in January and as of yet hasn't had enough game time to really grow that value. Shown glimpses of real ability and so Sunderland hope it's going to be a big campaign for him coming up

Our verdict: Sunderland paid more than that to bring Hemir in last summer and so they’d be reluctant to lose him at that price, even accounting for a frustrating first season on Wearside. Hemir’s pedigree in youth football means there’d be interested parties but Sunderland will want to rebuild his confidence and value, whether that be with a loan or with more regular football on Wearside if he can put a good pre-season together.
Our valuation: £1,000,000 which can hopefully grow if he can kick on from a disappointing first season](https://www.thestar.co.uk/webimg/b25lY21zOjc4MDkyY2NhLWFlZTQtNDA3Zi04MjJlLTMwZWIwMzU2OGUyNTphM2RjOWE3OC1jOWFjLTRkODUtOTI0My01NDRiYjY5ZjI0NzE=.jpg?crop=3:2&trim=&width=800)

Our verdict: Looks pretty much spot on. Hasn’t had a huge impact so far on Wearside but has good pedigree and still the best years of his career ahead of him. Sunderland are confident fans will see more of what convinced them to sign him last summer now that he is settled in the area and has an improved grasp of the language.

Our verdict: Probably a fair valuation, though Sunderland wouldn’t sell at that price. Mayenda still has time on his side and a lot of talent, with a big reputation from youth football.
Our valuation: Sunderland believe he’s going to be a good player and has time firmly on his side, so it’s hard to see them selling for below £2,000,000 at this stage.](https://www.thestar.co.uk/webimg/b25lY21zOjI4ZGY4MjQ1LTdiNWUtNGE4OS1hZTg0LTU0Mjc1NzY5MDhkZjo1ZTQwMjgzOC1lYzE5LTRiYmEtYWUwOS04ODgyODZiOGIzZTE=.jpg?crop=3:2&trim=&width=800)
