Hartlepool United sacking Ronnie Moore was right decision says ex-assistant boss
Kyle, who worked as number two to Alan Murray back in the 1990s, believes owners JPNG have made the right decision to part company with the 62-year-old.
Moore was shown the door today in the aftermath of last night’s costly 2-1 home defeat to fellow strugglers Stevenage – their eighth League Two loss of the campaign.

“If the change had not been made Pools would have dropped out of the league,” said BBC Tees pundit Kyle.
“It’s not nice to hear that anyone has lost their job.
“I feel it is a change that had to be made if Pools are to survive this season in League Two.”
Kyle says Pools have not improved under Moore, a manager who last season achieved the so-called Great Escape when the club, against the odds, survived in the Football League.

Kyle said: “Having watched Pools this season they don’t seem to have improved much since last season.
“Ronnie has been allowed to sign over 20 players so the chairman has backed him.
“It’s been his team, his squad, but the team has lacked organisation, leadership and motivation.

Kyle also poured cold water on the fight for survival last season.
“He kept the team in the league but there was an awful lot of hype surrounding that,” he said.
“There was good luck involved as well as management.
“When Ronnie gets chance to reflect he will realise he has not improved the club at all.

“I don’t know what they do in training but every team we see at the Vic seems to be more organised, have more ideas than Hartlepool.”
