Jones was at Maiden Castle today though Pools boss Craig Hignett admits he is unlikely to feature against the Wombles, but could be available to play at Leyton Orient on Easter Monday.
“He’s better, there’s been an improvement,” said Hignett.
“We’re hoping he’ll do a little session today and he has an appointment to see a specialist tomorrow.
“Friday may come too soon for him but hopefully he can train Thursday and we’ll take things from there.”
