We found a whole selection of great photos from the day Mr Motivator came to Wearside.

It was on June 19, 2000, and hundreds of youngsters turned out to meet him.

The TV star was there to officially open the Tyne and Wear Millennium Youth Games.

He led a workout, did high fives with his fans and made loads of new Wearside friends.
