Sunderland City Council has said its refuse teams will aim to collect the waste either tomorrow, Saturday, February 13, or Monday, February 15, after the snowfall made it difficult for them to get around the streets.
A spokesperson said: “Due to the snowy weather over the last few days, and continued icy conditions, it has not been possible for our crews to make their usual refuse and recycling collections in some parts of the city.
