The Met Office has said: “There may be weather warnings in force for the UK.” But they aren’t yet scheduled for our area, which will be dry with temperatures up to 8C.

What will the weather be like in Sunderland this morning?

It will be cloudy, but it should stay dry with temperatures between 5C and 8C. There will be a gentle south-westerly breeze.

What about this afternoon?

More of the same really. The cloud should become lighter at around 2pm, but it won’t go away. Temperatures will peak at about 8C.

What will the weather be like this evening and tonight in the city?

The cloud will remain, but with little chance of rain. The breeze will still be gentle and the temperature will drop to around 6C as we approach midnight.

Sunday won’t be too much different to today. Cloud cover will stay, with a chance of light rain mid-afternoon and the maximum temperature is 8C.
