Tributes to 'lovely lad' Michael Giblin who died after serious Sunderland crash on New Year's Eve
Michael Giblin, 32, from Hendon. died in hospital on January 10 and was identified by police the following Wednesday.Emergency services attended and two men and one woman were taken to hospital, where Michael died more than a week later.

Police are still appealing for information after the crash, which at 8.15pm on December 31 2019 in Durham Road, Sunderland.

Hide AdOfficers were called out to the scene of a two-vehicle collision at the Prospect Junction, where the A690 meets Premier Road.
Michael’s family are being supported by specialist officers as an investigation is ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Sergeant John Sanderson, of Northumbria Police’s Operations Department, said: “This was a tragic incident that has sadly resulted in Michael’s death and our thoughts are with his family at this terrible time.
