Sunderland kids follow seniors in suffering relegation
The young Black Cats needed to win their game, and hope that relegation rivals Derby County lost at Leicester City.
Derby did lose their game 3-1 at Leicester, but Sunderland were unable to take advantage.

Hide AdElliott Dickman’s Black Cats side fought hard at Swansea but fell behind on 52 minutes when George Byers headed home.
Just before, Luke Molyneux had missed a chance to put Sunderland ahead.
After falling behind Elliot Embleton worked an opening but had his effort blocked, and Sunderland could not get back on level terms or get the win they needed.
