The initiative aimed to raise funds for Wearside Women in Need and collect donations for the Sunderland Foodbank.
Mr Foster was left blown away by the generosity of the public who helped to raise £800 for the charities.
He said: “We made just under 40 stops in total and there were people waiting by the roadside to flag us down with donations.

"As a community we raised close to £800 for the two charities and by the end of the night the truck was struggling with the amount of food people had donated.
"I cannot thank everyone enough for their support and enthusiasm. Sunderland seemed to really get behind the idea and it worked.
"I think we’ve made a real difference while ensuring our kids were still suitably terrified!”
