Sunderland AFC star Luke O'Nien welcomes baby girl

O’Nien revealed that his daughter was born on Sunday, August 30 at the Sunderland Royal Hospital.
Luke and his partner Georgia have named her Jasmine Julia O’Nien – she is their first child.

Hide AdIn his Instagram post, he said: “30/08/2020 our precious little girl was born into the world.I love you little Jasmine Julia O’Nien and your incredible mummy with all my heart, I do.”
Sunderland AFC took to Twitter to share their congratulations to the player with team mate Denver Hume one of the first to show their support.
Fans joined in the congratulations for the new father.
The SAFC Branch Liaison Committe (@SAFCblc) tweeted: “Congratulations @LukeONien & partner on the safe arrival of your baby girl, enjoy your new adventure.. from all the @SunderlandAFC fans across branches far and wide.”
Sunderland super fan Mark Cummins (Mark the Mackem @mark_j_cummins) tweeted to share his joy, as he too became a dad on the same day.

Since arriving on Wearside from Wycombe Wanderers in July 2018, 25-year-old O’Nien has became a fan favourite at the Stadium of Light, winning young player of the year in his first season at the club.
