Concerns are growing for the welfare of “vulnerable” pensioner John Davidson who has gone missing.
Durham Constabulary are appealing for “urgent” help to locate John, 86, who lives in Ouston near Chester-le-Street.
A police spokesperson said: “The 86-year-old, who is vulnerable, was last seen by his family at lunchtime today, Thursday January 19. John is white and approximately 6ft tall. When last seen he was wearing a navy padded jacket, grey tweed cap, black shoes, black gloves and gold-coloured spectacles.
“John has links to the Bensham area of Gateshead and may be trying to make his way there. Anyone who has seen John should immediately call Durham Constabulary on 101."
