Theft, speeding and possessing cocaine: The latest cases heard in court round-up

He was ordered to pay £85 costs and was banned from driving for six months.

Alan Coburn, 33, of Northbridge Street, Sunderland, was fined £40 after he admitted breaching a community order.

Liam Dane Craggs, 32, of Pontop Square, Sunderland, was placed on a six-week curfew after he admitted breaching a suspended sentence order.

Rae McGill, 33, of Greenside, South Shields, was fined £60 after admitting a breach of a community order. He was also told to pay £60 costs.

Andrea Emma Tulip, 34, of Wellington Walk, Sulgrave, Washington, was given an 18-month community order after pleading guilty to theft. She was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £90 surcharge.

Andrew Harrison, 37, of Leyburn Close, Ouston, Chester-le-Street, was fined £40 after he admitted theft. He was told to pay £10 in compensation, £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.

Gary Simon, 34, of Portberry Way, South Shields, was fined £133 after admitting a charge of speeding. He was also told to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge.

Alison Brown, 53, of South Cliff, Sunderland, was fined £184 after she pleaded guilty to failing to give a specimen. She was banned from driving for six months and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.

These two cases were heard at Teesside Magistrates’ Court:

Eric Carr, 62, of Houghton Street, Sunderland, was given a 12-month community order after admitting failing to comply with the terms of a sexual offence order. He was also fined £500 after admitting breaching a suspended sentence order and ordered to pay a £90 surcharge.

Stephen Mann, 36, of Thirwell Grove, Jarrow, was fined £95 after admitting using a handheld phone while driving. He was ordered to pay £85 costs and a £30 surcharge and has his licence endorsed with six penalty points.
