Northumbria Police has put the notice in place from tonight, Friday, September 25, to run across the weekend on the King George playing field, which lies between Pennywell and the Hylton Lane Estate.
The force acted after receiving a number of reports of trouble, with several involving teenagers who have been drinking and causing antisocial behaviour.

Pc Michael Herring said: "We know the corrosive and detrimental impact that anti-social behaviour can have on our communities, and the actions of a minority can have a significant impact on the most vulnerable in society.
“That's why we do not apologise for our robust stance, and our officers will be out in force throughout the weekend tackling pockets of disorder and ensuring those responsible are dealt with appropriately."
Officers have been carrying out an increased level of patrols and has been working with Sunderland City Council to make regular checks of the area.
