Man taken to hospital after police called to reports of intruder at Sunderland health centre
and live on Freeview channel 276
Northumbria Police confirmed they were called to Ryhope Area Centre, in Black Road, at 9.45pm on Wednesday, June 16, to reports of an intruder.
On arrival at the scene, officers found a man inside with non-life-threatening injuries.

Hide AdPolice were concerned for his welfare and he was taken to hospital for treatment.
The incident happened while the health centre was closed and Southlands Medical Group has confirmed no members of staff have been injured.
Patients were told to expect some minor disruption but the health centre remained open for patients on Thursday, June 17.
A spokesman for Southlands Medical Group said: “We had a break in at the health centre last night, this was when we were closed so all staff are fine.

Hide Ad"There is some clearing up to be done so may be some minor disruption but we are open for our patients as usual.”
An investigation into the incident are ongoing to determine whether any criminal offences have been committed.
A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: “At about 9.45pm on Wednesday we received a report of an intruder inside the Ryhope Area Centre on Black Road. Officers attended the scene and found a man inside the property with non-life threatening injuries.
"We were concerned for his welfare and he was taken to hospital for treatment.
