Colourful activities could be a winner

Are you wondering how to keep the kids occupied during the Euros? A Sunderland business boss might just have the answer.

While Harry Kane and the team battle it out in England colours, the owner of Wearside firm ARTventurers Fiona Simpson has created free online colouring pages with a Euro 2024 theme.

‘Some young children don’t want to sit still and watch the whole game’

They can be downloaded in time for the big games and Fiona said: “It is always lovely to hear about whole families getting together and sitting down to watch the matches together - and if there are some young children who don't want to sit still and watch the whole game then they can be kept entertained with the colouring pages and some pens or crayons.”

It is 13 years since Fiona left her career as a solicitor to start ARTventurers in 2011.

An award winning company

Just last year, the company celebrated after winning at the What’s on 4 Kids Awards. And Fiona was named Business Woman of the Year at the Wearside Women in Business Awards 2019. ARTventurers delivers colourful art classes, events and parties for babies, toddlers and children. It has franchised branches across the UK.

It has also regularly created free online activities, especially during the pandemic.

Great online activities

Fiona created The Big Neighbourhood campaign in 2020 to help people cope with the stresses of lockdown.

People could print off Easter egg designs for children to colour in, and the idea soon took off.

It led to a second campaign called The Big Neighbourhood VE Day 75 Family Festival at Home.

Further campaigns followed including The Big Neighbourhood King's Coronation Celebrations.

‘Get the football frenzy started’

Even now, ARTventurers is continuing to offer great online activities.

Fiona added: “We've created this set of Euros colouring in printables so that everyone can get involved and get the football frenzy started.“
