These are the eight areas in and around Sunderland which have recorded the highest percentage of new Covid-19 cases in the seven-days leading up to Thursday, November 19, compared to the week before.
Official figures also show the case rate which takes into account the number of people living in each area compared to the number of people who have tested positive for the virus.
In Sunderland just eight areas saw a rise in the number of Covid-19 cases compared to the previous week.
The figures are based on tests carried out in laboratories (pillar one of the Government’s testing programme) and in the wider community (pillar two). Pictures are for illustrative purposes only.
1. Herrington and Doxford
