How an award-winning Washington physiotherapist is supporting the community and key workers
The Bodyworks Clinic, in Concord, was forced to close in March but has continued supporting the community by offering free online pilates classes and free injury advice to key workers.
Owner of the clinic, Kirsty Ritzema wanted to do her bit for the community during the crisis by keeping her customers fit both physically and mentally after being forced to stop face to face appointments in March.

She said: “In times of crisis, people need support. Sometimes it is just a bit of advice and direction that they need and sometimes it is just some routine/ structure to make them feel safe. With the online services that we have created, we can do both.
“I am very lucky to be surrounded by a knowledgeable and supportive team who have adapted to this situation beautifully and are always ready to help our clients with whatever they need.
“Washington has a great sense of community and we have stood together through this pandemic helping each other.”
