The son of Margarita Louis-Dreyfus and the late Robert Louis-Dreyfus, Maurice is Kyril’s twin brother and the pair are known to be close – Kyril’s Instagram feed shows that they often travel together.
While Kyril has turned to football in his business ventures, Maurice has spent time DJing and exploring other avenues.
He is understood to split his time between Zurich and London.
Does he have any prior involvement in football?
Similarly to Kyril, Maurice will have had a front-row seat as his family operated Marseille in the French top tier for a very successful period.

How much is he worth?
Maurice’s exact worth is unknown, but the Louis-Dreyfus family as a whole are worth over $6billion as of last year.
It’s also fair to assume that he could have a similar-sized trust fund to Kyril’s – which is estimated to be around $2billion.
However, it remains unclear whether Maurice would be putting-up any capital as part of his potential involvement in the club.

Reports in the Athletic suggested that Maurice could have some involvement in Sunderland once the takeover is done, potentially as a director.
What would fall under his remit remains uncertain.
When could we know more?
Clarity on whether Maurice will take a role at the club - and what exactly that role will be – is unlikely to come until the takeover is sealed.
The deal is currently with the EFL, and Sunderland are hopeful that it could be given the green light this week.
Kyril is currently on Wearside as he looks to seal a deal.
