According to the Sun’s Alan Nixon, goalkeeper Anthony Patterson is set for a loan move to Hamilton Academical next month.

Hide AdThe 20-year-old shot stopper has made just two first-team appearances in the EFL Trophy but is yet to feature in the league.
Patterson is a product of Sunderland’s youth academy and signed a new deal at the club in June.
Henderson proud to collect award
Former Sunderland midfielder Jordan Henderson says he’s immensely proud to have collected the Team of the Year award at last night’s BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
Henderson’s Liverpool side received the trophy after winning the Premier League title, while Henderson came second in the main award, behind Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton.

No plans to postpone the season
Finally, the EFL have said there are no plans to postpone the League One season despite Covid-19 outbreaks at five clubs.
Sunderland, Bristol Rovers, Peterborough, Portsmouth and Ipswich have all returned positive tests in the last week, leading to some suggestions the campaign may be suspended.

Sunderland won’t play again until December 29 at the earliest when Lee Johnson’s side are set to travel to Accrington Stanley.
