Sunderland AFC transfer news: Costa Rica international set for Black Cats medical, Watford reject £20m bid for forward

Sunderland are preparing for another match on the road tomorrow as they face Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.

The Black Cats will be eager to continue their unbeaten start to the new season, however the Blades will certainly be a tough test for Alex Neil’s side.

Both sides have seen success against each other in recent meetings, with Sunderland taking the most recent victory in a 1-0 League Cup win in 2019.

Their only other two meetings in recent years came during Sunderland’s stint in the Championship, where they lost both matches against the Blades and were hammered 3-0 in Yorkshire.
