Last week we asked you, the Sunderland Echo readers, which Black Cats goal you have celebrated the most in your lifetime. We received hundreds of responses via our Facebook and Twitter pages and have gone back through the comments to tot up the replies. Scroll down and flick through the pages to see which goals were the most popular:
1. Andy Reid vs West Ham (13th)
Nothing beats a stoppage-time winner. Reid's late strike in 2008 saw newly-promoted Sunderland pull further clear of the relegation zone with a 2-1 win over West Ham. Photo: Richard Heathcote
2. Mart Poom vs Derby (12th)
Another last-gasp goal, but not from someone you'd expect. With Sunderland 1-0 down away at Derby in 2003, goalkeeper Poom came up for a last-minute corner and salvaged a point for the Black Cats with a towering header. Photo: KB
3. Phil Bardsley vs Manchester United (11th)
Away at Manchester United, it looked like Bardsley's goal would send Sunderland through to the 2014 League Cup final - courtesy of a David De Gea mistake. Javier Hernandez’s leveller took the tie to penalties before Gus Poyet's side made it through. Photo: Clive Mason
4. Fabio Borini vs Newcastle (10th)
What a strike! Sunderland secured their first win of the 2013/14 season with a 2-1 victory in the Tyne-Wear derby. Borini's winner six minutes from time sent the Stadium of Light into raptures. Photo: IAN MACNICOL
