Phil Parkinson gives injury update on Sunderland trio Chris Maguire, Elliot Embleton and Joel Lynch
Maguire came off midway through the second half of the 3-0 win over Rochdale on Tuesday night, having played a part in all three goals.
The attacking midfielder looked to be in pain but afterwards assistant Steve Parkin said it appeared to be nothing major.

“Chris got a dead leg and there was no need for us to take a risk with him,” Parkin said.
“He feels a lot better today and he'll be pushing for a place at the weekend.
“With Joel, the concussion is fine and he’s fine, it's just the ribs more than anything.

Parkinson did admit that he is concerned about Elliot Embleton’s progress.
Embleton suffered a setback after returning to training following a serious hamstring injury, and while he has not suffered a recurrence, progress has been slow for the talented midfielder.
“It's just been another little bit of a step back for him,” Parkinson said.
“It's not the main injury, the repair from the operation is fine, but he is still getting other problems around that hamstring injury which is a little bit of a concern.”
