Sunderland swimmer is off to Rio
The 19-year-old City of Sunderland swimmer has had an anxious wait to see if would make the team since he made the qualifying time needed to be in with a chance.
He is being joined by fellow swimmer Josef Craig.
Matt who competes in the S9 classification holds four British records including the 50m and 100m Freestyle.

Hide AdIt is the first time the teenager, who was spotted during 2014 following a number of key performances, has been chosen to take part in the Paralympic Games.
He took to Twitter to announce his selection following the news breaking saying he was “excited.”
Matt also has cerebral palsy.
