Silksworth and Ryhope - Down Your Way
The next meeting of the Silksworth Church View Patient Group will take place tomorrow at 5.30pm in the medical centre. The practice manager will give a general update followed by the Easter raffle and refreshments. All patients are welcome.
The IM Church, behind Blind Lane, Silksworth is presenting the Millfield Salvation Army Band in concert on Saturday, April 2, at 7pm. All proceeds are in aid of the Nehemiah Project, providing school and health care facilities in Ghana. Tickets are £5, which includes refreshments. To reserve your ticket, ring 5213 278.

Hide AdThe Silksworth Good Friday March of Witness will set off from North Street Methodist Church at 9.30am. It will march through the village carrying a cross. This will lead into a Good Friday service at the IM Church at about 10.45am, led by the Rev D Tolhurst. All are welcome.
Ryhope Engines Museum is holding an Easter Steaming event from Friday to Monday. There will also be a classic car event on Sunday.Thanks to a £30,000 grant from Northumbrian Water, a wheelchair lift has been installed enabling disabled and parents with pushchairs to enter the engine house. Admission and car parking is free. Opening is from 11am-4pm.
Ryhope Churches Good Friday service will be held in StCuthbert’s Methodist Church at 10.45am.
Ryhope Pentecostal Church is holding a family service on Easter Sunday at 10.30am.

Ryhope Library is holding free craft activities for children over the Easter holidays. Tuesday, March 29, from 2pm-3pm make a 3D rainbow spring card to take home and on Tuesday, April 5, from 2pm-3pm create a ladybird.
