Red House - Down Your Way
Red House Community Centre runs a number of sections on a weekly basis and welcomes new members. There is a Slim and Trim session followed by social activities on Mondays from 6.30pm. On Tuesday there is a Carpet Bowls club in the afternoon from noon to 3pm. This is followed by a session from 7pm. This section would welcome new members and will train young people interested from the age of 14. There is also a Yoga session from 6.30pm. A ladies’ coffee morning takes place on Wednesdays from 9am to 11am, followed by a sequence dance from noon to 3pm and tap dancing lessons for children of all ages start at 5.30pm. On Thursday, a carpet bowls practice session takes place from noon to 3pm. Karate training starts at 5.30pm. Karate training also takes place from 5.30pm on Fridays. The Social Club is open each night, apart from Wednesdays, where visitors and applicants for membership are welcome. For more information, call in or telephone Margaret Watson on 551 9507.
A knit and natter group meets every Tuesday at 2pm in Red House Methodist Church. All are welcome to go along.

Hide AdRed House Karate Club meets in Red House Workingmen’s Club on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6.30pm to 8pm. For more details pop along or ring Eddie Rodgers on 07915671761. Lacey Oxley, nine, double graded in a recent NKA grading alongside Charley Allan, eight. Chloe Hughes, 11, worked very hard in the lead up to her grading and demonstrated the benefits of hard work, dedication and commitment. Well done to everyone.
