Kennedie Crawford has raised £150 for Macmillan Cancer Support in memory of family friend Pauline Peacock who sadly died following a battle with bowel cancer aged 78.
But in braving the shave the 24-year-old is also showing her support for youngster Chloe Gray who was born with Diamond Blackfan Anaemia (DBA) – a condition which means her body doesn’t produce red blood cells.

Kennedie, who is a full time carer, has now had her hair shaved off at Roots Unisex Hair Salon in Penshaw.
She said: "At first it was to do in memory of a family friend, Pauline, who had bowl cancer. She went through so much.
"She was such a lovely lady and she never let anything get her down.

"I was nervous but at the same time if a little girl like Chloe can go through it and so much more I can do this to support her.
“By shaving my head in solidarity with Chloe, I want to raise awareness and funds for DKMS, a bone marrow register that has been a great help in finding a match for Chloe's transplant.”
