Clap for Carers: Sunderland once again shows its support for NHS, carers and key workers with a huge round of applause
and live on Freeview channel 276
At 8pm on Thursday, April 2, for the second week running, families across Wearside, the North East and the UK took to their doorsteps, back gardens and windows to applaud those on the frontline.
The initiative, which gathered pace and was hugely supported on social media, saw the heartwarming sound of clapping ring out across the country as we all paid tribute to those working hard to keep us safe.
