Man arrested after fire arm incident in Asda is given caution
Armed response units were sent to Asda, in Peterlee town centre, yesterday afternoon following reports of a man with a weapon.
Officers carried out a search of the store and the surrounding area, including Chapel Hill Road.

Hide AdPolice say a Peterlee man, 23, was later arrested on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear of violence.
He was questioned by police and given a caution.
It is understood the weapon involved was a BB gun.
It has since been seized and will be destroyed.
A Durham Police spokesman said: “Police would like to reassure the community in Peterlee that there was no threat to the wider public and the incident has now been resolved.”
