Roful Hoque pulled one back for Washington before Rod Turnbull/David Adamson won the pairs, beating Norman Leslie/Stephen Thompson 61-12 for an excellent 4-1 win.
The match between second placed Whitburn and Seaham Conservatives B was postponed due to a shortage of players by Seaham and had been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 22.
Gary Stockton got Seaham Conservatives A off to an excellent start at home to The Hetton Centre.

Ian Hughes won the fourth frame against Joe Nord before a 23-break by Gary Stockton, when paired with Michael Monaghan, helped win the pairs, beating Paul Stoves/Paul Nord 59-32 for a 4-1 Seaham win.
Pennywell Comrades stormed to a 5-0 victory over Biddick B, thanks to Joe Turner, Dean Taylor, Anthony Longstaff and Andrew Doran.
In the pairs, Stuart Taylor/Ian McDermott beat Peter Mills/Paul Cobb 44-28 to complete the clean sweep.
