And Advocaat's former Sunderland assistant, Zeljko Petrovic, is expected to follow Advocaat by becoming the club's new head coach.
Advocaat - who resigned as Sunderland manager last October - has been working as the Holland national team's assistant boss, but he will combine those duties with a position as technical advisor to Den Haag.

Hide AdOne of the 68-year-old's first pieces of counselling has been to install Petrovic in the dug-out after they worked together at the Stadium of Light and for the Serbian national team.
Petrovic - who previously had spells in charge of Boavista and RKC Waalwijk - wanted to become a head coach again after ending his spell as Advocaat's number two.
The former Yugoslavian international is due to be unveiled by Den Haag today.
