A judge has ordered the arrest of a man who failed to attend court on motoring charges.
District Judge Natalie Wortley agreed to issue a warrant without bail for Louis Whelan, 20, of Torquay Road, Thorney Close.
Whelan was due at South Tyneside Magistrates’ Court to face four motoring offences, all allegedly committed on Tuesday, July 2.

Hide AdIt is claimed he failed to stop an Audi after an accident in Padgate Road, Ford Estate, in which damage was caused to a Ford Focus.
He is also accused of failing to report the same incident, using a vehicle without insurance and driving without a licence.
