Gage Oliver Hutcheon, 23, of Nunn Street, Shiney Row, was banned from driving for 16 months, fined £320, ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after admitting drink driving on May 9.
Gordon David William Kane, 33, of Sherburn Grove, Houghton, received a 12-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay a £22 victim surcharge after admitting stealing £149.95 worth of handbags from TK Maxx on March 5.

Hide AdNicholas Shakesby, 19, of St Leonard’s Street, Hendon, Sunderland, received a community order and was ordered to pay a £95 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs after he admitted possessing a bladed article in a public place and possessing cannabis on April 19.
Jackson Bainbridge, 18, of School Road, Houghton, was fined £150 after he admitted breaching a community order on March 5.
Ian Joseph Crooks, 51, of Noble Terrace, Hendon, Sunderland, was fined £116 and ordered to pay a £32 victim surcharge after he pleaded guilty to sending a malicious communication via voicemail on June 28.
Reece John Paul Hall, 19, of Bishopton Street, Sunderland, received a 26-week jail term, which was suspended for 18 months, was banned from driving for two years and was ordered to pay a £128 victim surcharge and £85 court costs after he admitted dangerous driving, driving without insurance and driving without a valid driving licence on April 17.
