Assault, breaching a restraining order and speeding: Sunderland and South Tyneside defendants appear before magistrates

Cain Lebihan, 19, of Swan Lodge, High Street East, admitted criminal damage and breaching a community order. He was placed on an eight-week curfew and made the subject of a restraining order. He was also told to pay £85 costs and a £90 surcharge. At a later hearing he was sentenced to eight weeks in prison, suspended for 12 months, after he admitted assault and damaging a computer, for which he was told to pay £50 compensation.
Craig Charlton, 28, of Green Lane, South Shields, admitted breaching a restraining order. He was given a 12-month community order and told to pay a surcharge of £90.

Hide AdJoshua Paul Burnicle, 25, of Railway Terrace North, Sunderland, was fined £184 after he pleaded guilty to criminally damaging a front door. He was also ordered to pay £500 in compensation, £85 costs and a £32 surcharge.
Tony La Mattina, 44, of Rosemount, South Hylton, Sunderland, was fined a total of £400 after he admitted two charges of speeding. He was banned from driving for seven days and given three penalty points. He was also ordered to pay £85 costs and a surcharge of £30.
James Edgar Young, 52, of Warwick Drive, Washington, was fined £346 after being found guilty of failing to provide the police with driver information. He was ordered to pay £150 costs and a £34 surcharge. He was also banned from driving for seven days.
George Davies, 66, of North Farm Avenue, Sunderland, admitted racially aggravated threatening behaviour. He was fined £180 and was ordered to pay £150 costs and a £30 surcharge.

Harvinder Singh Gill, 35, of Ashbrooke Range, Sunderland, was fined £600 after being found guilty of failing to provide the police with driver information. He was ordered to pay £100 costs and a £60 surcharge. He was also given six penalty points.
