Bus passenger taken to hospital after becoming unwell
A passenger was helped into an ambulance after they became ill while travelling on a bus.
The Go North East X5 service was travelling on the A690 near Houghton Cut when the driver pulled up after the passenger became unwell.
Two ambulances from the North East Ambulance Service attended and took the passenger to Sunderland Royal Hospital.
The incident happened shortly before 1.50pm.
