Hide AdDicksons first launched its home delivery app back in January before the coronavirus outbreak hit the UK.
Since lockdown measures were introduced in March - and all non-essential retailers forced to close - the firm has been encouraging its customers to have their favourite products delivered to their doorstep instead, with bosses promising they were working to “meet customer needs”.
South Tyneside residents can now have hampers of essential items delivered to their door with boxes of deli items, groceries, meat, cakes and snacks available to order.
Products include the ‘legendary’ Saveloy dip kit – which comes with ten Saveloys, pease pudding, stuffing and bread buns.
