Wow! Here's what you said about a 1983 video of Sunderland showing Joseph's, Binns and Simpson's the bakers

We showed you a film which was taken by Joe Liddle, 78, as he went on a drive round Sunderland in 1983.
He and his brother Keith, 63, kindly forwarded the footage to the Sunderland Echo and the film got a massive reaction on social media.

Hide AdIt reached around 110,000 people and many of you left your own memories of Wearside back then.
Eighty people commented on the video on the Echo’s Facebook page.
William Pugsley said: “Used to love going in Binns as a kid and using the tunnel under the road that connected the two stores.”

Hide AdKaye Sanders remembered ‘Binns and the spiral staircase’ while Christopher Pullen recalled: “Me and me mates used to get the E1 from Shields to go to Joplings in the 80s. Used to get WWF Wrestling figures as soon as they got them in.”
Ronnie Dale said he ‘loved Joseph's as a kid’ and Steven Bell recalled ‘buying a Subbuteo team in a brand new box and walking of Joseph’s with it. Happy days’
