Hide AdJohn Howe, Headteacher at Seaburn Dene Primary said: “We wanted to do something that would help the children to be creative during half term and cheer up the community, particularly during lockdown.
"There was no guidance on what scarecrows the children should do, so everyone came up with their own ideas.
"We wanted to engage with the community, while doing something fun and outside.”
Parents and members of the public are encouraged to take a look at the pupils’ hard work if they are passing by while out for exercise.

Mr Howe added: “If the scarecrows bring a bit of joy to someone or bring a smile then that’s all that matters.
"People have been stopping and taking pictures of them outside the school gates, we’ve had wonderful comments on them
"There is a nice buzz around school and I am so delighted with all the hard work the children have put into their scarecrows.”
